i just did the time zone fix and that worked for all calendars.. i have been fustrated all day, but that seemed to fix it..this is what i did based on this persons recomendation
Okay, I figured it out- or my husband did. You have to go into Settings, General, Date & Time and then change the time zone (i.e. I picked New York since I am in Virginia) in the Calendar section. OR you can turn Time Zone Support OFF and then the calendar defaults to the time zone of your current location- which you also have to set by the way.
I'm having the same problem with error occurred while mingling data when I try to sync my iphone to a PC running microsoft window professional and outlook. Transferred ok the first time, but will not update now and getting the mingling data error. Tried all the tricks in this discussion and they didn't work.
I found that under "advanced" in the info tab on iTunes for iPhone, if you check "replace data" for calendar "one time" that it erases the conflict. Now all is well.
Thanks folks! Was having the same problem with ical events not being sync'd to the iphone, and between resetting the sync history in iSync and turning off time zone support on the phone I am now syncing calendars correctly.
hello guys,
I've suffered with this issue, i was able to solve my problem, without even working with isync, I don't think the iphone has anything to do with isync, it uses apple sync services, like the missing sync for palm and like entourage from microsoft.
anyway this is what i found:
if you've been having problems entering calendar events on your iphone and not having them show up on iCal after sync, or sometimes even disappearing, try this:
* I noticed a weird tendency for the iphone to try to add new entries into a read only calendars (subscribed calendars, birthday calendars) during a sync, as those calendars cannot be modified, iphone entries won't show on ical.
this is how i fixed it:
I want iPhone calendar to show all my iCal events too, but to make it work you gotta follow those steps,
1. make sure you keep a record of all your iphone entries as they will be removed.
2. in ituens select sync with selected calendars, un-select all read only / birthday calendars.
3. Sync your iphone,
4. go to Ical and drag all read only/birthday calendars to the top. (having them by the bottom will keep the problem)
5. choose that iphone entries sync with the bottom calendar on your iCal list.
6. you can enable all Calendar sync in itunes of like,
7. try to enter something on your iphone and sync, it should work,
so as long as you have your read only calendars on top of the list in iCal and the iphone entries are syncing with the most bottom Calendar on iCal. you should be OK until apple fixes this bug.
i had this problem and what i had to do to correct it was check the box at the bottom of the info tab that stated replace information on this iphone and checked the calendars box. this fixed the problem. Just make sure that your info on the iphone is either hand written down or backed up else where....it will replace all events on the iphone with what is on ical....once this is done, make sure the box is unchecked and going forward all syncs will work with ical and iphone whether you are importing or exporting events to and from your iphone
I had the same issue, but it started when I tried syncing events over 30 days old, and stopped when I re-checked the box not to sync anything over 30 days
IPHONE DOES NOT SEEM TO LIKE APPOINTMENTS THAT HAVE NO SUBJECT!
Hi Guys,
I had the same problem as many people described not being able to Sync my Outlook Calendar with my iphone. I tried the following and it worked!
I exported the calendar into Excel, sorted by SUBJECT and found that several dates had no subject. I then went back into Outlook and discovered that those dates were for a recurring meeting that did not have a subject. When I added a subject, the SYNC worked! GOOD LUCK!
