iPhone and Southwing Bluetooth Headsets

Hello,

Anyone have trouble with the Southwing SA505 bluetooth stereo headphones with the iphone. Not pairing up very easy over here.

Hello,

We figured this out. From what we can tell we have not found any specific instructions for this particular issue with 3rd Party Headsets.

On the iPhone go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > BLUETOOTH
Then put your headset in Pairing mode
If a passcode is required the phone will ask for it

Thats it. Until we went into the Bluetooth area the 3rd party headsets did not pair up nor did the Bluetooth process automatically detect the device until we were in that area. Our expectations were that the iPhone would automatically figure this out without having to go to the Bluetooth area.

iPhone doesn't currently support A2DP which is necessary to get stereo. Let's hope A2DP and AVRCP are included soon in a software update. Your headset should still work in lo-fi mono mode though, unless it only supports A2DP for audio.
