I purchased the Plantronics 650E the day I purchased my iPhone from the Apple store, and I like it. The sound quality is great because the earbud goes directly into the ear. I don't even have to have it on the highest volume level to hear. I had a Motorola, and I didn't really like it. It didn't stay on my ear properly, and I would have it to the highest volume, but had to press it to my ear to hear sometimes. Towards the end, it would beep and end a call if I was talking to someone or connect/disconnect when it got ready. I held onto it until I purchased my iPhone and an headset compatible with it. I've heard other complaints about them for other folks.

I think the iPhone opens up all kinds of possibilities for headsets now. I didnt want to stray away from my Motorola HS850 because I liked knowing when it was on or off (by just closing the boom)...now all of thew guesswork about pairing is gone with the iphone...its just awesome. So - I'm trying to figure out which one is for me...leaning towards Jawbone so far. Any of the newer headsets out there have battery life indicators?

Tried the Jawbone. Returned it the next day. I couldn't get it to fit right and people told me it sounded tinny. From reading reviews it appears people either think it's the greatest thing ever or hate it.

I have a Plantronics 510 which I love. It's much better than the Motorola it replaced. Great sound, comfortable. I think they're reasonably priced too.

Hope that helps,
Aym

(not sure on Jabra- I'd call them and see if there is a way to reset it...I had problems on my old 250 pairing with my Treo (glad my Treo days are over!)

Anybody have any votes for best volume....thats my only complaint about my Motorola, I have to press it against my ear if outside or even in a moderately noisy environment. Hoping to not have to go "in ear"...???

I have the Jawbone. Have had it for about a month now. Love it! It works as advertised. Sound quality is good, comes with multiple earpieces and ear inserts to get a custom fit and the noise cancellation WORKS GREAT! I can actually talk on the phone while my radio is playing and the person on the other end can not hear the music. Would recommend it highly. I also own the Jabra BT 250 and the Motorola H300 and it is the best overall of the bunch. Hope this helps in your decision.

I'm using the Jawbone. I love it! I impressed one of the sales guys at the Apple Store the other day. It does this last number call back thing. If you tap it twice, it calls back the last number you dialed. So while I was looking at a case in the store, I couldn't find my girlfriend. So I tapped the Jawbone twice. He said, you called her on the iPhone that way? Yup. Everyone I call on it says the sound quality is outstanding. Get one. You won't regret it.
