Waveform Cache Files. Delete?
What exactly are waveform cache files and can I delete them without worrying about screwing something up?

That is some good info but I am still unsure if I can delete some of the waveform files without screwing up a project. I have changed the way I store my files so now I have an old waveform cache file that has a bunch of files in it and many are Untitled. I want to get rid of some or all of these but don't want to screw anything up.
Delete away.
FCP will rebuild them the next time you open a project with waveform display open.

Cool, thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to make sure. I guess the only thing you should never delete is your capture scratch? Everything else can be trashed?

Even your captures can be trashed .... AFTER you've finished and delivered the final project and the client has accepted it.
I usually only permanently keep project files and any graphics I created for the project. Everything else gets tossed.
