Voice Dialing - Parrot Bluetooth

I have a Parrot Bluetooth device (3200 LS Color) that either uses a phone's voice recognition software or the Parrot's software. I use my phone's voice recognition. Given that the iPhone does not have voice dialing (yet), anyone have any experience using the iPhone with the Parrot voice recognition software?

Thanks.

I just paired the iPhone with a 3200LS. I could initiate calls with the iPhone handset. Calls made this way were routed through the 3200. Two additional buttons appeared on the iPhone handset enabling you to switch to the iPhone speaker phone, or handset: nicely done!

Incoming calls were answered on the 3200LS by pressing the green button on the display. So it worked as usual.

It seems the iPhone's microphone does not shut off when using the 3200, so I could hear a low level echo of all I said.

Trying to initiate a call through voice dialing using the 3200 and the iPhone did not work. I think that is because the address book held by the 3200 is specific to each phone it has been paired with. With my Nokia (E61) I had to push each contact I wanted to use, over bluetooth, to the 3200, after which voice dialing using the 3200 worked fine. With a Blackberry 8300 voice dialing is achieved directly using the voice dialing features of the 8300 over bluetooth.

So how the Parrot 3200 handles voice dialing is dependent on the bluetooth capabilities of the cellphone connected at the time of making a call. The iPhone's bluetooth capabilities are currently crippled making the only apparent method of initiating via the handset. Not perfect, but OK until Apple finishes the bluetooth module.
