Unable to restore Ipod
I have a 3rd Generation (I think) 20 GB IPOD. Recently when I wanted to select a song, or artist etc. It would let me go through the menus but no artist names songs,albums are available. I reset the ipod multiple times and then I connected it to my Itunes, it gave me an instruction that the ipod was corruped so I chose the restore option and it will not work. I have tried to let the battery go completely and reset the ipod. NO LUCK at this point and now the Sad Ipod face is on my screen and it is the only item that shows on the screen.
I connected to my DiskUtility option and tried to partition the drive, just like the discussion boards suggest and have still not been able to get past that because it freezes while partitioning.
A friend and I both have run into this issue recently and was hoping someone can help, it is strange how two of the identical models can have this issue just weeks apart.
