Logic Pro Plugin random problems

Hi,
I just started running into an issue where various Apple plug-ins are crossed out (things like GuitarAmp Pro, and ES-1 and EV88 ...etc).
I find this confusing and strange since these are native plugins to Logic
and it seems kind of related to the installation of the MV Classic edition
since these issues didn't show up until I installed it.

I'm running 24 bit audio and The environment seems (to me) to be be
working fine ( I have 8 channels 1-8 going to MV and 9-16 for other stuff
maybe it's an environment thing, but Guitar Amp Pro unavailable?
I don't get this at all.
Yes, I reset the AU and even redid set ups and burned off prefs which
kind of helped but the problem comes back.
Why would some of these plug-ins become unavailable?
WHere is there a more direct way of looking for Plug-in help and info?
I'm sure there's a simple answer (like the B3 channel restrictions) for this
plug in problem.

My system is an intel iMac with a Firebox and an Oxygen 8.

Weird - usually when plugins are unavailable in means Core Audio, or your audio driver, is not loaded.

But if audio is working fine, and various other plugins are working fine, but just some Logic ones are not available, that's a bit weird. Perhaps there's an installation issue with your copy of Logic, something's got corrupted or something?

i have the same setup as you but have never experienced this problem or heard of logic's native plg ins being crossed out.

Have you tampered with Logic's own files or settings in the finder?

Yes, GAP being unavailable as well as the instruments is weird.

What is MV classic edition??? perhaps you should contact these people to find out if there any known problems with it and logic pro.

Does this happen only with premium plugins, like Space Designer, ES1, ES2, EVP88, EVB3, EVD6, Sculpture, Ultrabeat, EVOC20, EXS24 and not with built in plugins such as Platinumverb, Compressor, ESP etc?

If so, this might indiciate some isses with your XSkey. When instantiating the premium plugs, the plugins themselves check they are authorised to run (because they were once individually available extras). So it might be that this isn't working correctly - try running the XSkey updater you can get from Apple and seeing whether this helps.

That's just a guess though...

Yeah premium plug ins-but it's kind of random, uh but my xskey sometimes quits after a save....so I'll see if the updater helps....
this is so weird...right now I have a setup with 8 VI (Miroslav)
8 plugins (all the keyboards except ultrabeat and esx)
and 8 audio tracks (1 guitar track right now)
and going through the audio banks Guitar Amp pro and fuzz/wah
are not available...(crossed out)

I'll report my findings ...

Ok, it seems like there are problems with the KEY losing touch with the plugins. I restart Logic and plug the key out and back in (i use an apple wired keyboard with the key in it).
Boy do I hate this key thing...
