How do I transfer garage band files to another computer?

My friend and I record together but can't always be in the same place at the same time. We each have our own copy of garage band. I want to be able to record some tracks then transfer them to her computer so that she can continue recording on the same song. This means the file has to stay in garage band, not exported to itunes. Is this possible and if so how is it done?

imac, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Save the GB file "as archive" and create a ZIP archive of it in the Finder (very ambiguous Apple vocabulary!). You can in principle send this file around, but it'll be very big. So the best idea would be to have some webspace somewhere that you can both access and always keep the latest copy there. Just make sure you don't "check it out" in parallel, since you won't be able to unite these two different files!
