It would be nice if you type a phone number in the iPhone and it recognized it as a number with a link so when you tap on it later it would dial the number. For example, if you type a phone number in the calender application it does recognize it as a phone number and allow you to tap on it to dial the number. Anyone know how to get around something like this?
It already does this. If it recognizes a phone number in any application (except SMS) it provides it as a link to dial. Why it doesn't recognize a phone number in SMS is anyone's guess.
It doesn't recognized phone numbers in the notes area of a calendar appointment. Nor does it recognize an address in the "location" area of an appointment.
