Iphone interference crashing my work PC

If I lean my iPhone against the front of my work computer (Dell GX520) I causes it to crash, I have to reboot the computer, once I even got the blue screen of death. Are there any more reports of interference from the phone and what is it transmitting that may cause this. The phone must be within and inch of the computer. Not on a phone call or anything. This has happened many times.

What do you think?

I thought I was crazy, but I'm glad you posted this. A person at work got an iPhone and let me try it out for a few hours one day. I have a Dell Inspiron notebook that I use for work and noticed that it ran VERY slow and sluggish the whole time I had the iPhone. The next day everything was working fine. I wasn't sure if it could have been iPhone causing it to run slowly, so I dimissed that idea. But maybe it could be after all.

Yes, this has already been discussed here - search for interference.

There is nothing you can do - keep your iPhone away from other electronic equipment. It isn't the phone, it's GSM -- i.e. ATT uses both EDGE and 3G under their GSM signal system. The GSM can cause all kinds of interference. It isn't just the iPhone -- it is also the Cingular 3125, 2125, 8125, 8525, the Palm Treos , samsung Blackjack, and some models of the Razr.

You will find interference on stereos, radios, computer desktops and laptops. There is nothing here to fix, because it is the way GSM signals work, you can't avoid the interference,

Keep your electronic equipment separated by at least a few feet. You'll note that even the dock and the cord for the iPhone has a 3 foot span.
