LIVE TYPE FONTS

Can someone tell me if you can put in new fonts into livetype form ones that you have downloaded off the internet, and how do you do this. thanks

mac g4 & mac g-5 & mac g-5, final cut 5, motion, soundtack, dvd 4, All digial juice

Live fonts are distinct from the other fonts in LT. Live fonts have special behaviors and effects associated with them.

I am not aware of Niel's suggestion nor if it is viable or not. I can tell you there is no "fonts" folder in the area you were directed. this is likely why you placed your fonts in the Livefonts folder.

If Niel has tried this personally perhaps he can lend some help..he's certainly a smart and valued contributor to many fora

Bill,

I just re-read this post and now realize you don't want to install a font into LiveFont but rather you just want to have a font available like Hanumang was suggesting.

Okay that can be done pretty quickly:

1. Insert the disc that contains the new font, or copy the font to your hard disk from another location.
2. Double-click the icon for the font in the Finder. Font Book opens and displays the font so you can see what the font looks like.
3. Click Install Font.

Your are done. Open up Live Type and it will now be in the list of Fonts not LiveFonts
