iCal and Proxy

In my network we have to use a proxy-server to access the Internet. I subscribe to a calendar published on a .Mac account. When trying to Refresh I get a timeout for webcal://homepage.mac.com/... My network administrator tells me he does not see iCal querying the proxy-server. So, how do I make iCal use the proxy-server instead of trying to directly access the Internet? Browser and eMail clients work fine, as the Network settings are set to use the proxy server.

Thanks in advance for any support.

Yes, I have this problem too. A sign comes up saying my username or pass is wrong for the proxy and I cant publish anything..changes I do for example.
Trust me: my username and pass for the proxy here at work is NOT wrong - it's used for hundred other purposes and apps without any problems.
Apple - here our cry! There's something seriously wrong with the code in iCal!

Hi all,

I found a workaround myself. There is a way to access a published calendar via browser. The Link would be

http://ical.mac.com/WebObjects/iCal.woa/wa/default?u=userid&n=calendar.ics

where
userid is the id of the .Mac user and
calendar.ics is the name of the published calendar

What I do NOT know is how to derive the http link from the known webcal link that I used for iCal.

It seems the problem with firewalls is the blocking of any other traffic than http and ftp which includes webcal.

Does this help anyone else?
