Is anyone using the Jawbone with their iPhone? If so how is it?

do a search of the forums for jawbone and you will find many answers... most people seem to like it
It works great. Paired up without any issue. And seems to sound great to listener and myself.

Does the music fade when a call comes in as with the wired earbuds?

just tried it....music stops, phone rings (in earphone) and when call is over, music starts from where it stopped. hope this helps
I've been very happy with my Jawbone on every phone I've used it on, and on my Macintosh.
Noise cancellation is wonderful. Audio is very loud. You can almost forget you have it on - it doesn't block outside noise, but your phone calls are loud enough to be audible with the noise. The Apple headset blocks your ear somewhat.
The Jawbone is good if you want to leave the headset in your ear all the time; it's not as easy to just stick in your ear as the Apple one. It's also hard to carry around. The Apple one is easy to throw in your ear when a call comes in, but is not comfortable enough to leave in all day.
My biggest complaint is that it is very irritating to switch it between the iPhone and my Macintosh. You have to re-pair them to make it work.
This is half the Jawbone's fault and half the iPhone's fault. My Nokia has a menu option to connect to your headset; works fine with the Jawbone that way. The iPhone just waits for the Jawbone. The Jawbone, when it can't reach your Macintosh, also waits. They both wait for the other...and re-pairing is the only way out.

How did you make it work?
Mine only works for the phone, no audio from anything else. Tech Support guy says that it should not/will not work. You describe it working well and I am a bit confused??

When you say you are playing music through the jawbone and the music stops when a call comes through, are you saying that audio is playing only in the jawbone and not playing through the iphone speakers at the same time? When I tried playing audio through my apple headset, I could easily hear the audio playing out through my iphone. If the Jawbone can play music withou the iphone playing it, I will definitely be running out to get the jawbone!
it's easy to turn off the bluetooth on the phone and on the mac. The easy solution would be to turn off the BT on the one you don't want to use, and turn on the BT on the one that you do want to use.

Wanted to update everyone. I went out and got a Jawbone and I like it already made a few calls while in the living room and put the TV loud on purpose and I can still be heard.
Is it possible to listen to the iPod feature on the iPhone via the Jawbone? I am thinking no but want to confirm.

Actually you can listen to the iPod through the Jawbone. You cannot do so in stereo obviously and your iPhone will play the music out as well. If you have your phone in your pocket, and you are just looking for some ambient volume music, you will get plenty of sound from your Jawbone.
There is a little trick to make it work.
1. Make sure you are paired.
2. Go to you Voicemail screen on your iPhone
3. Touch the audio button on the top right
4. Select Jawbone from the menu
5. Go to your iPod screen and play your music.
6. Enjoy

I just ordered mine in Silver. I will pair and test it out once I receive it and post back. I cannot wait for it. I loved my Motorola HS815 that I was pairing with my Cingular 8125 Pocket PC but when paired with the iPhone it was very full of static.

I got my Jawbone on Tuesday and am in love with it. No static, fits well with default loop/inserts. I also was impressed that it came with different size ear loops and ear inserts, so it should fit most people fine with some minor adjustments.
The sound quality is great and people say it sounds great when I am talking to them. I primarily use it when traveling to and from work but am seriously considering wearing it all them. I just tell people that I am linked to the mothership... 😉

I just wanted to update that, while I have seen complaints about static and such when walking away from the iPhone while using the jawbone, I have not experienced that at all. In my home office and work office, I leave my phone on the counter and walk around the office with no problems at all. Also, I use it in the car more often than not and have had no issues with hearing the other person or complaints from them that they cannot hear me because of interference and such. This is a great headset, even if the price tag is a little higher than I wanted to pay. I don't regret buying it though...great investment!
