I found the Jawbone at AT&T's site. Seems to be a good deal.

I personally am going to wait til 9/5 to see what Mr. Jobs has to say. maybe a software update to the iPhone to make it work better with Apples Bluetooth headset which is beautiful to say the least, or even an update that allows stereo bluetooth to be used AND a stereo bluetooth headset from Apple??.

The only problem on the jawbone is I cannot seem to make it redial by pressing the talk button twice, has anyone else made this work? Is there a trick? Also, it seems to take forever, more than 3 seconds to turn off, anyone else have to take it off and watch for the red light to make sure it turned off? It is huge and bulky, but the sound it great. (I used my $100 store credit as well)

Hey There,

I thought I would chime in with my Jawbone user report. I am having some issues that create a less-than-perfect user experience: really bad range (when the phone is in my pocket on the other side of my body it sounds like popcorn) and static when I am in a dense Wi-Fi environment (in the office I have a choice of 9 Airport networks and my own AirTunes, plus my bluetooth mouse--rendering the headseat almost useless).

...so I returned my original Jawbone to the Apple store yesterday hoping that the static/popping would be fixed. Same thing is happening with the new unit.

The static drops to practically zero when I am in my car, so I am under the impression that it is RF causing the problem: Wi-Fi in the office seems to be the killer.

Since I switched the Jawbone unit out, and I am having the same problem, the issue seems to be related back to the iPhone itself. It reminds me of the reduced range of my Titanium Powebook's airport compared to other platic iBooks.

the redial works fine for me. it should be two clicks within 1 sec or so.

also turning off the headset does take about a three second press -similar to my motorola. you can leave it on your head when you do it and you'll hear a distinctive shut off tone or you can take it off your head and put it near your eye to look for the red light. works as it should according to your description.

this happened to me this morning driving to work. Everything was going along just fine, and now all of a sudden, no matter what I do, I can't get the phone to recognize the Jawbone anymore.

Please oh please tell me there is a fix! i already did a hard reset. I also reset the Jawbone as well and it still will not be recognized by the iPhone.

Any and all help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
