Access denied trying to print

Hi everyone,

I have an eMac (10.4.10) with an Epson R260 printer connected to it. I've shared it in the System Preferences (Print & Fax), and made sure the Printer sharing is enabled in the "Sharing" panel of the system preferences.

Printing to the R260 from OSX works perfectly, no issues at all.

However, I cannot print to it using Bonjour for Windows (latest version). I've followed the instructions, tried using the specific driver for the R260 as well as the "Generic / PostScript" driver that has been described in various posts. Nothing works.

Trying to access the printer in Printers & Faxes in WinXP just results in an "access denied" message.

To show I'm not crazy:

a short screencast of the Bonjour printer setup process and error.

Could any experts chime in please?

Thanks!

Hi. Unfortunately, I can't help, but I'm wondering if you've found a solution to the problem because I'm having the exact same trouble. I've been up for hours trying to get my wife's Sony Vio to print to the printer that's connect to my Mac Mini. When I install the printer with Bonjour for Windows, her default printer gets deleted (same printer) and I'm not checking the "set to default printer" box. Then, when I try to access the printer, it gives me an error that says "Operation could not be completed. Access is denied." What am I doing wrong??
