"Disk burner or software not found..."

Please help!

In iTunes, when I attempt to burn a disk, it has this message flashing where it would display the current song playing.

"Disk burner or software not found..."

I just burnt a cd the other day! And Windows Media Player still burns cds. Thats all great for burning mp3's but once I need to back up my iTunes purchases, it doesn't help.

I NEED help please. I need to back-up my purchases soon, my laptop is going in for service on the 21st!

Thanks,
Michael

hey guys, I followed your discussion quite interested and the installation of Gear software fixed my problem with burning CDs with iTunes on 64bit XP.

I can burn CDs and the seetings find my DVD burner. how do I get rid off this message?
Any idea?

thanks in advance for your help.
