"Disk burner or software not found..."

I have the same problem with itunes and burning it to a cd. Can you help me out?

Hey thanks for posting that link *b noir*! That seemed to do the trick. Couldn't find the first system file the guy mentioned but I did find the second and moved it. Now iTunes is back to working as I always trusted it could. Yay!

Please help me . I just burned a cd yesterday and it worked fine now today after i updated itune it wont burn . I am using vista ultimate 64 bit . This really blows i tried removing it and reinstalling it 5 times Apple need to fix this problem .

Yes!!!!! Thank you so much b noir! I was having trouble because I didn't know what EM64T meant, but that just signifies the new Intel 64-bit processors, so I got the right GEAR driver and now my DVD/CD drive shows up in iTunes no problem. I love you.

Hey man, I was about to say "I'm exactly where you're at," until I figured it out with b noir's help. Scroll up, go to the gearsoftware website, and get the 64-bit vista driver. That should fix it.

hey guys, I followed your discussion quite interested and the installation of Gear software fixed my problem with burning CDs with iTunes on 64bit XP.
but when I start itunes I still have this annoying message that the CD burning software is not found.
I can burn CDs and the seetings find my DVD burner. how do I get rid off this message?
Any idea?

Gearsoftware drivers fixed mine as well on Windows Vista x64.

Nice one. After installing the updated SPTD drivers my cd writer is now recognized and everything works just fine.

So, confirmed solution on Windows XP Professional 32-bit systems as well.
