Failed import of video file from digital camera

I recently upgraded to iPhoto '08, and when I tried importing a video from my digital camera, it gave me a message that told me the video couldn't be imported, the import failed. Something along those lines. Can someone please tell me how to resolve this so I can import this video successfully, because I imported a video from the same camera to iPhoto '06 successfully.

Hi slinkyoz,
It might seem like the long way around, but this is exactly they way I download my photos and AVI files from my digital camera.
Doing it this way I can then put my photos in dated folders and my movies in dated folders. I then import the dated photo folders into iPhoto.
Having the dated photo folders and movie folders makes it easy to back up my photos and movie files.
