Remote control with iTunes on a PowerBook G4 ???

I have never used a remote control with a computer, so forgive the ignorance of this question....

Is it possible to use a remote with a Powerbook G4?

A friend of mine would like to use a remote to control iTunes on his powerBook - is that possible? How would that work?

I have a Powerbook G4 15in. and would also like to know if it is possible to use a remote with it--Apple brand or otherwise. It would be nice to have.

Powerbooks don't have a sensor to pick up the remote. What you can do is put your iPod in the dock, connected to external speakers, and then you can use the apple remote to change song, volume etc.

Try the Griffin AirClick USB. I've got it on my iMac, and it works great.

I use Salling Clicker with my bluetooth Sony Ericsson K800i to control my 12" PB. Works fine in Keynote, iTunes, DVD Player etc.

Caveat: I have't tried it with 10.5 yet (only 10.4.10)

Update: Salling Clicker works with Leopard 10.5.1. I've tested it. Check the forums on their site.
