Skywalker Sound Effects

I'm thinking of buying iLife'08, mainly so I can use iMovie'08. But I've read that some effects have been removed from iMovie'08. Does iMovie'08 still have Skywalker Sound Effects.

Skywalker Sound FX is not a plugin, but rather a group of AIF files stored in your Library>iMovie>Sound Effects folder.

Try looking there. You can still import them.

I think I will save my money. But when Mac OSX Leopard is released, iMovie'08 will be hard to avoid.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. The improvements to all the other applications (especially GarageBand) have been top-notch.

iPhoto - snappier w/ events smart folders
iDVD - guides and professional encoder
GarageBand - too numerous to list the great additions
