I NEED HELP VERY HORIBLE PLEASEEEEE

my iPod will not hold a charge will not restore anything when i plug it in to my computer it starts to charge saying do not disconnect so i dont but 2 mins later its froze and its froze when it asks me to restore and it never works please SOME ONE HELP ME i really need help please!!

Ok my iPod is acting strange I turn it on and it says to restore it with iTunes. So i try my iPod gets plugged in then Freezes everytime And only Asks me if i would like to restore it when its frozen and then it says error 1418 and ive done everything on this site to fix it it just dosent stop freezing up right before i restore it
