QuickTime Pro - Downloading a DVD?

Using QuickTime Pro, is it possible to download a DVD on the HD?
If so, how to do it?

I would like to download DVD to my computer so than i can transver the file to my iPod.

If a homemade DVD (i.e., not encrypted), simply copy the non-zero VOB files (usually just the longest contiguous "set") to HDD and use an application like MPEG Streamclip (free) or similar application to convert the files to iPod compatible compresion format using the "Export to MPEG" menu option/iPod preset. Be advised that MPEG Streamclip requires the QT MPEG2 component ($19.99) be installed to convert VOB ("muxed") files.
