Laptop cover discoloration

Hey guys/gals
I have a white macbook that have some black discoloration on its cover. its like oil streaks that is staining the cover from the inside. aside from this everything works fine. im just worried that it might affect the monitor in the long run. any suggestions?

Thanks Mike. im planning to bring back my macbook to have it checked. The discoloration is not from the sleeve but from the inside that is staining the cover. Is the heat from the unit contributing to this? I simply cant put the unit on my lap because of the heat. Im posting this so that if im not the only one whos having the same problem may want to contribute. With the recent problems of exploding celphone batteries i dont want any similar problems occuring. Is the staining a sign of an impending problem?
