Everytime I playback my sequence a message pops up saying that some frames that have been dropped. It lists some thing to do, I've tried a few, but its not working. How can I stop these frames from being dropped?

yes, from the camera to the drive. But there's nothing in capture scratch. I did find what you were talking about in audio render though
And there's nothing in the Capture Scratch? So where's your media?
Inside FCE select a video clip and right-click on it and go to Reveal in Finder. Switch the display to Column view to see where the file actually is.

Hmm, well I did some more hunting and found everything that I captured under Capture Scratch but they're quicktime files.
QuickTime is exactly what they're supposed to be. Where are these files?
