Newsletter Subscription

Does anyone know if there is any way to create a pseudo 'subscribe to newsletter' button. In other words, I want people to be able to enter their email address and click a subscribe button that will send us their email so we can then send them back a newsletter. A friend of mine who has worked with websites told me that this may not be possible in iweb because you need a particular file on your server. Thanks!
