Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

iTunes was not properly installed?

Anyone else having this issue.. I upgraded to the new iTunes.. and I get this message:


Warning!


iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs, you need to reinstall iTunes.


I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 10 times and I get it on all 3 of our computers.

My Desktop: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
My Laptop: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
Wifes Laptop: Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Dell XPS Gen 4, Windows Vista, 64bit / iPhone 8GB

why would I do that when they won't even give me my $200 back? If you purchased the phone within the last 14 days take back and get refund.. If you bought it more then 14 days ago you are not entitled to a refund and you wouldn't get one anywhere for anything... You could go buy a video game keep it for 15 days and they aint gonna take it back well unless you get it from like Gamestop or something..

Rather the 64-bit version is causing your problem isn't the point you should be worried about. You need to worry about the fact that this version is not supported. I was successful in installing the newest version of iTunes on my system running the 32-bit version, so maybe your wife's download was somehow screwed up.






This link shows that only XP and 32-bit version of Vista is supported. Or at least that is my take on the link.

I would try re-downloading the iTunes/Quicktime file and going through it again (for your wife I mean). In regards to your situation, I seriously dought that you will get it to function properly.
