Log and Transfer Troubles
Alright Guys (& Gals!),
I will admit I'm newer to the FCP arena so this may just be my ignorance but I'm pulling my hair out trying to get footage from my P2 cards into FCP 6.0. I shot the footage on a Panasonic HVX200 in 720 24p. I've tried importing directly from the camera as well as from files on the HD. The clips pop up in thumbnails perfectly both ways and I can preview them without a problem. The problem occurs when I attempt to add it to my timeline. It doesn't matter if I drag a clip to the queue or click "add to queue" - each time I get the little spinning update arrows and then it stops like it imported correctly only it says that there is 1 clip queued that is idle. Then when I click on the imported clip in the lower left hand corner of the Log and Transfer window, the little status arrows turn into orange stop signs with an exclamation point and says there is no data. What???? I don't get it. Can you help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
