Line6 Pod XT Live into Garage Band

Hi,

I'ma a newbie to Garage Band. Two questions, what is the best way to plug my guitar into my mac so that I can record into Garage Band? 2) I have a line 6 pod xt live. If I wanted to use that as my preamp, any ideas as to how to run the signal into the mac?

Thanks,
-Keith

In terms of audio playback, i can just use my amp as the monitor, right?

If it works for you, fine.

It was weird, I could not seem to get GB to recognize or the signal. When I choose live instrument, what input do i choose? (mono or stereo or is there another preference setting that I am missing?)

Look in GB's Preferences, under Audio/MIDI, to select your input.
Also, you can check in Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/) under Audio/MIDI to see your input.

Mono.
