But wait where are they. I cant seem to find them nor can anyone I know. Has anybody had any luck finding them yet. I even bought two songs to check but had no luck. It's sad that apple updates their site stating that it is available when it really isnt't.
When I plugged in my phone today, this little window popped uo that askedi f i would like to view all song that are available to be turned into ringtones. But like a ******* I clicked no, because i was trying to do something and just figured it would easy to find later.
So i unplugged it and then plugged it in again...but no luck, the window never came back! If you figure it out let me know 🙂
You can click on any song in your purchased list (even if there is no bell), then click on Store > Create Ringtone. If the song can be made into a ringtone, the ringtone maker will pop up in the bottom of iTunes, and you can edit, preview, and buy the ringtone. If it cannot be made into a ringtone, it will tell you. Hope that helps!
But doesn't the Itunes store say which songs can be made into ringtones? That is what I look forward to when I buy a song is if it can be made into a ringtone as well.
I got the iTunes ringtone to work beautifully. BUT, when I went to purchase the ringtone, a pop up box came up saying that I could not purchase the ringtone because I was not using the original account that I purchased the song with. Well, I transfered from PC to Mac, so I transfer from Hotmail to Mail. Hence, my account name changed to *@mac.com instead of *@hotmail.com. Does this mean I cannot purchase ringtones from songs I purchased before the migration? Please advise.
I changed my name & email address in my existing iTunes account when I got an iPhone, and I was able to take a song I purchased years ago with the old email address on iTunes 4.7 for Windows, and purchase a ringtone with the new email address on iTunes 7.4 for Mac. (It didn't make sense at the time, but when I selected to build the ringtone, it prompted for my password; when I was finished and purchased the ringtone, it prompted again but showed my old email address. I changed the email address to the new one, and it worked.)
When you changed your email address, did you log into iTunes with the old email address and change your account's email address, or did you create a second account? If you made a new one, you might be able to reuse the old account to make the ringtone. (I didn't need to confirm the email address when I changed it, so even if you don't have the old email address anymore, it shouldn't be an issue.)
