Alpine iDA-X001

Anyone know where I can get a really short Ai-Net cable? I need it to connect the HD tuner to my X001. I'm looking for something ~ 1ft. long. I found this, but it says it's also compatible with Sony and JVC. I thought Sony and JVC used Alpine's old M-Bus connections?

I bought an Alpline iDA-X001. And an Ipod Nano 4GB (new generation) but when i connect to my X001 i shows me an error USB DEVICE ERROR, so then i took my brother Ipod, i think its the 5G thats its with 30Gb but then i show me the same error USB DEVICE ERROR, so what can i do?

I've got the Latest Nano 8Gb (3G) and recently bought the IDA-X001, and it works nigh on perfectly via the USB connection. The only problem i've had is that the album artwork isn't shown on the Alpine. It's really quick and simple to whip around on the Alpine though and I would highly recommend it!!

If you are having problems make sure your iPod is completely up to date, as i've read numerous posts where this was the main problem, and once you're up to date you should find them working in harmony forever more!! Hopefully...

Is there any way to tell when the unit was manufactured (maybe by the serial number?), before opening the box to look at the unit itself? My X001 has a sticker underneath that says it was manufactured March of 2007 even though I purchased it November 2007.
