Disable sleep function

I have a Mac Mini that keeps going to sleep on its own. This seems to happen with processor-intensive functions. Someone suggested the heat sink on the processor wasn't installed correctly (I just had this unit fixed about 3 months ago). The place that fixed it says the motherboard is bad. Whatever. At this point I'm hoping there is a way to disable the sleep function all together. I rather doubt the thing will burn up and even if it does, I'll have to buy a new one anyway as a new motherboad costs more than a new machine. Can any of you UNIX experts help me out with the command?

If the machine is shutting down due to an overheat situation, there isn't anything you can do to prevent that. It's as much a safety thing as anything else.

You can disable the sleep function itself (either via System Preferences -> Energy Saver or via the command-line pmset) but you cannot override the overheat prevention.
