Nothing new here the usual Ipod Touch is recognized as a camera and wont work on my 32bit Vista laptop. After uninstalling reinstalling, messing around with drivers, nothing im tired. The Ipod touch does work on my Xp desktop but its old and Id rather have my laptop and IpT playing nice together. I know that apple was lazy and basically used the same **** firmware as a the iphone. So heres to hoping Apple figures something out.
Hi. thanks. I was having the same problem except my computer was a windows xp. I tried some suggestions from user Yorkwill on page 1 and it fixed it for me. If apple knows about the problem why dont they fix it?
Thanks a ton for posting this info. It was sooo helpful and easy to follow even for a technically challenged person such as myself. I tried it step by step and now my ipod touch works! Awesome job.
After I went through literally EVERY step-by-step "how to" on the itunes site, I found this topic and followed the advice of Yorkwill. My iPod Touch was recognized immediately and now I have no problems. This topic should be a sticky! Thank you so much for your help! Maybe they should copy and paste it and then add it to one of their "how to's". Would've saved me literally a couple hours of trouble! Thanks again!
Well after 3 days trying to repair the iTunes freezing up problem on a computer I put together for someone and reading this forum I found the solution. It was the customer supplied antivirus program. I have all my computers using McAfee with no problems but my customer purchased Ca's Internet Security Suite Plus 2010 and after removing it iTunes works like it should again.
