ilife 08 on ibook g4

hi..i really really would like to install ilife 08 in my ibook g4..however, everytime i insert the disk, it says that it cannot be installed in my computer..so i decided to install everything, the mac os x with the bundled applications..so it says restart the computer..so i did..then my screen shows different letters and numbers and doesn't move..

is there something wrong i'm doing or it's just that ilife 08 won't install on my ibook g4?
