How Many Songs can a DVD Hold

Question

I want to transfer songs from my Imac to my Laptop PC. As I recall, CD's don't hold many songs but how many songs can I load on a single DVD? Thx.

Most DVD-Rs can hold 4.7GB of data. How many songs that translates to depends on how they were compressed.

Dhould I use a DVD-R or DVD-RW for burning playlists in order to transfer them? Thx.

If you'll want to rewrite the disc, use a DVD-RW. Otherwise, use a DVD-R.
