I have been trying to do this today. I created a page with only a table and adjusted columns / footers / page margins until it matched the labels.

Now, I can mail merge a whole sheet, each sheet with one address, but can not get 1 page of different addresses... possibly can't be done? I found no pre made templates - would have been a useful addition.

I was only doing this to get round the envelope template not working with my printer options for the way it loads envelopes. It seems to want them fed in landscape - when i select portrait (how the printer takes them), the whole template flips and screws the mail merge.

iv tried there and the template for my labels isnt there! its the classic 3 across and 7 down, is in word, when you are in the main labels window, and you click options and then label product my labels are under avery a4 and a5 sizes. The exact label is J8160 - address.

I understand your not avery support! but if you have any ideas on maybe creating a new template in word and saving it to open in pages it would be great..

Thanks so far!

Hello,
I am in the same situation, and I think we have three options:
1- buy MS office.
2-Wait for either Apple or one kind Mac Genius to make a script to make custom labels templates.
3- waste 50 sheets of labels to make your own template.

Personally, I have wasted about 30 sheets and came up with a template that is about 70% adequate and then I gave up. I think if no one makes up a script by next February, I will just buy MS office 2008!!!
Good luck!

What I have done to TRY to solve this was to create a label using the "FREE" NeoOffice for Mac, create the label there... it was faster, better and FREE. I TOO want to have Pages as my ONLY wordprocessor as I don't need ALL those EXTRA features. I think that it wouldn't be sooo hard to include the ability to create labels for mailmerge OR have the ability to import templates/labels from other programs OR allow the creation of labels by using Tables BUT have them have the ability to use a 'gutter' margin and/or cell padding!! THIS would be an easy way to do it!

...Hopefully there will be an update to include some of these options. Word stinks and is a memory/resource hog, just try to have Excel AND Word open at the same time and copy and paste from one to the other. Especially slower IF you are using parallels (copying from Access and pasting to mac word).
