Cruise Ship Mode? (Phone off, WiFi on)

How do I turn OFF the cell phone (EDGE) function but leave WiFi on?

Airplane mode turns off both. We are taking a cruise through foreign ports and I do NOT want the EDGE connection to international roaming but I do want the WiFi on to connect to the cruise ship's on board network.

Cany anyone tell me how to do this?

ask and ye shall receive. The update 1.1.1 that's out today gives you the ability to turn off edge.

Of course, with today's 1.1.1 update, you would go into Settings > General > Network and turn Data Roaming off. No need to lock the sim.
