album artwork not updateing on the ipod

album artwork not updateing on the ipod

i loaded all of my music onto my ipod then i updated the album artwork in itunes and now the ipod wont update the artwork...is there a way to get it to update without having to go back and reupload all of my music?

So, after you added artwork in iTunes, you re-synced the ipod to add the artwork right?

Also, when you connect the iPod the summary screen should automatically open.

If you click on the 'music' tab, you will see the options to:

"display album artwork on your iPod". Make sure that is enabled.

i added all the the album artwork after i uploaded all of my music onto my ipod...and now it wont update the album artwork onto my ipod...i don't have auto update on my ipod because i don't like it...but shouldn't it just be if i redrag all of my music to my ipod that it would update anything that was missing?

and the "display album artwork on your ipod" is enabled

First of all, you have to delete everything on your iPod. If you simply try to drag all the updated music from iTunes to iPod without doing this, nothing will happen.

This is one of the drawbacks of having the iPod set to manual.

So, delete everything on your iPod, then drag the newly updated music to your iPod.

i figured that, that would do it...but i was already starting to get my ipod set up the way i wanted it to with play lists and all since i don't use itunes as my primary music library and i just update my ipod as i go along....

if i have it to sync automatically if i change the rating on one of the songs on my ipod and not itunes...the next time i connect it to my computer wont it automatically update it and take off the rating on my ipod and set it to what my itunes is set at?
