ERROR 1011 iPhone could not be restored message after 1.1.1 update

Ah I see now,
still haven't been able to fix my iPhone, tried nearly everything
Maybe I should dig out my old laptop and try and restore it on there
that work for anyone?

My iphone did the same as mentioned above all. No tampering with or tryimg to install any outside software. I had just tried to update the software through apple. This occured about a week ago. I waited up till 6 am (PST) and called apple. They said that they had no reason and no solution for the error 1011, but were familiar with it and had been receiving calls frtom others. I was told to just take the phone in to an apple store and that they would replace it. Important - I asked that they email me something that noted this response and I took my laptop in along with the email and my iphone. They quickly and easily gave me a new looking (May have been refurbished, because it came in a plain white package) ?????? But it works great and has been a week. Hope that you live near an apple store.

I have exaclty the same problem.
It shows me the "connect to itunes" logo and then iTunes says i needs to be restored but at the end of every restoring it gives me error 1011 and sais it could not be restored!

Any solution for that so far?!

This (Error #1011) Mean iPhone is Completely Dead??? And There is just one way and that is giving iPhone to an Apple Store???? 😟
