Recorded in 442 hz?

Hi!

I recorded some piano to my existing track, and found out that the piano was tuned in 442 hz. The other stuff that is already recorded is in 440 hz. Is there a way to change the piano in logic, or any other way to solve this problem! Thanks,

hi cardaroy,
is this causing massive problems?
i could say "what's two cents between friends" but i won't.
really, i've done hit recordings where being in tune was a real novelty.
not proud of it, but true.
if everything was perfectly in tune, it would be perfectly dead as well.
flux, as in the state of, is very important in art.
if you are talkin' EXS, yes you can tune it where you'd like.
if talkin' real panano, yes you've problems.
logic's pitch shiftin's a bit shifty, i don't think you'd like the result.
acoustic piano is very touchy and harmonically very complex.
the logic time machine just ran for cover..............

You want to use the Pitch Shifter insert. A is 440 and you recorded at 442. A# or Bb is 466 hertz so you are 2/26ths or 7.7% of a semitone sharp. The pitch shifter allows you to work in cents (100ths of a semitone) so try lowering the piano line by 8 cents.

It's not quite that simple since I used a straight linear interpolation and pitch is logarithmic. However, this is as close as you're going to get it in Logic. You'll have quite a workable solution and certainly better than the piano being sharp by that amount but check the tone since pitch shifting can sometimes have a horrible effect.

use a pitch plug that will allow you to enter percentage values.

you are 0,451 percent off(Higher than) the 440 herz. so you wanna subtract 0,451 % from the 442 hz piano file.... Unfortunately L8 doesn't offer you the percentage values in the pitch/time editor(something I have been nagging about since version 4) so you'll have to either convert the percentage to semitones or just use a pitch plug that lets you enter the value in percent.
