AT&T signal strength issues after update...

So after I updated to 1.1.1 I've noticed over the past few days some issues with the signal strength I'm getting. I live in an area where I only get 1 to 2 bars but I work in area where I get 3 to 5. After the update the phone sits at 1 bar even when I am at work. If I shut off the phone and turn it on then it goes back to the 3 to 5 bars. But once I go home it drops again and then gets stuck at 1 bar until I turn it off and on. I'm going to check it tomorrow and see if it does it and if so I will restore it. Anybody have any ideas what's going on with it? I just hope it's not a more serious issue.

I just got my 3rd phone on Friday. It does not have the update onit either and things are better than what they were. My signal still fades in and out in my house but it is better. My husband's phone still has the update and his service is still crappy. So we are going to take his in and get it swapped as well...Will keep you posted on any further progress...

I too have big problems with signal strength since the upgrade. At first there seemed to be frequent fluctuations from 0 to 5 bars and for the last week the strength has been almost always 0 bars.
I called AT & T and they said my iPhone is communicating with the right tower and offered no answer. It is very upsetting because I went with AT & T because it offered the best service at my address for two years and now it has regressed to an almost useless state.

I have had the signal fluctuation issue since 1.0 through 1.1.1. I also notice that I'll have 4-5 bars during a call, then when I end the call, the phone drops to 1 bar and loses EDGE. Most of the time reception returns on its own, although sometimes it takes a while.

In fact, I took a video of it to show the Apple store genius. Unfortunately, he said there was nothing he could do to help, and he directed me to AT&T.
