Dear Michael

I'm dealing with the same problem:
I'm trying to use iSync (2.4) with my Palm Zire 72, but it's not working. iSync Conduit is not appearing in the HotSync Manager (Palm Desktop 4.2.1) and iSync can not find my Palm.
Please give me an advice about it and/or send me the iSync Conduit, as you've obviously done to a few other users already.

Thanks a lot.

A belated welcome to Apple Discussions.

Your issue is actually quite different from the one discussed in this thread. What that log indicates is that you have one or more corrupted iCal records, in one or more calendars, which cannot be written to your Palm device during synchronization. It is the first, and possibly only, such corrupted record encountered during the event. (The process halts when the first or only record is encountered.)

A couple of questions:

• do you have a contemporary backup of your iCal calendars?
• did you recently add a calendar, or did you add a recurring event to one?

Thank you for the welcome and the response.
The issue began when I tried to trade from a Tungsten E to a Tungsten E2. I was told I could just plug in and sync as normal and the existing info would migrate to the new device. This has never happened. I have a lot of recurring events on the ical calendar, and our calendar is also set up to publish to a work server-- which has also had problems recently. However, I still can not sync even when I try from my home, where there is no work server connection. I am almost to the point of deleting everything and starting again, but I am afraid of losing the calendar and address info.

I know just enough to be dangerous!
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thank you so much!
Sherri

Hi Michael,

I just moved from Entourage 2004 to Entourage 2008 and i am trying to sync my palm treo 650 with entourage using isycn. The problem is that after configure entourage and isync i cannot see the isync conduit in the palm-desktop’s list of conduits to finish this process. Could you please help me? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

With the release of Entourage 2008, things have changed dramatically. These are changes made by Microsoft, and not by Apple.

To understand this issue, you should start here with the MVPS brief on changes to the manner in which Entourage data is synchronized. Mark/Space, publishers of the Missing Sync for Palm OS, also has posted relevant information here.

I'm not an Entourage user, so there is little I can do to help you other than pointing you toward those documents.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.

What you briefly describe indicates that your issue is completely unrelated to the specific 'invisible or inactive conduit' issue described in this thread. You should start a new thread, describing your issue in more detail if possible, including any errors shown by either the HotSync Manager or iSync when you launch either program.

It would appear that if you cannot see any conduits, that the HotSync Manager is not properly installed.
