Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard - Caps Lock Issue

I've purchased the new Apple aluminum bluetooth keyboard, and I'm noticing that the caps lock key has some issues... first off, the little light that indicates the key is on/off rarely comes on. Second, the capslock key doesn't register each time it's depressed, making typing very awkward because I'm quite the proficient typer, and I use the capslock key to type all my uppercase characters, even single characters (goofy, I know), so I often type a word or two in caps before I stop myself and go back.

I've been using Apple laptops for several years now, so I'm quite used to the flat keys and I'm sure I'm depressing the key correctly as I type. I've also tested it quite thoroughly by carefully pressing it down, just to see if I'm certain, although these tests are somewhat hampered by the first issue (no light to indicate wether it's really on or not).

The keyboard is brand new (it's not even a week old), and I'm not sure if it might just be a manufacturing flaw with this particular unit or if it's software related (as there has already been one patch for this line of keyboards this week). Other then that, it runs great and feels amazing (especially being used to a laptop keyboard). It's also light as a feather! However, is anyone else experiencing any issues like this?

I swear you have to come here first before making any purchase.
Or see therapist later. Or come here, same thing. Utube would get a kick of what I had in mind.
Just took it out of the box earlier, now obvious that I just purchased the best looking brain damage.

All I can get mine to do is left and right arrow key to move cursor, and delete a line of text that was on a document, not from wireless keyboard.

If you hit any letter key of the wireless, it totally locks out any further mouse control.
The mouse can move cursor, but that's all.
You can no longer select an application, type, hot corner, nothing. You can hit the mouse all you want to try to wake the application, but no chance.

Your forced to use control eject to select shut down, and then enter key to confirm.
Restart, and all is fine until you touch the dam letter key again like a retard repeatedly sticking
body part in 220 outlet.

As logical as possible, I kill all other wireless gadgets from cell phone with bluetooth and wifi, to mouse, and no gain in results. Possible interference? Of course not.

So I research for update, and 1.2 is all thats offered, even though it's noted not necessary with current 10.4.11.
I have it on disc dated 04, so I used the one from Apple online. Thinking it has something I need.
52MG's later, I go and hit the fkg letter key again, Fk Me.
How it's possible to stumble onto worthless crap baffles me.
I actually chucked, thinking the tons of time wasted by myself and others go through and are here.

While waiting, I'll pair it with computers on display at Apple. That should be entertaining.

I just purchased the Apple aluminum bluetooth keyboard and am having similar problems with the caps locks key. I haven't had the problem of the caps lock key not working but the fact that the light doesn't work without turning the keyboard off and back on kind of *****. From what I can tell so far it appears to be the fact that the computer went to sleep makes the light stops working, then you have to recycle the keyboard to fix it. Seems like a lot of people have this issue, so it seem kind of far fetched that Apple can't reproduce the problem. The keyboard is only 2 weeks old and it was like this out of the box, so it doesn't look like it appears over time.
