How to evenly distribute inconsistent data?
For instance, lets say my data equals the date. So, for 9/1/07 my data would be 1, for 9/2 it would be 2, etc. If I input values for 9/1 (1), 9/4 (4), and 9/9 (9) my graph looks like it has hills and valleys when it really should be completely linear.
Is there a way to force Numbers to space the X axis appropriately, so that the gaps between data points are representative of the amount of time that has passed? So, when two data points are on subsequent days, there would be a very small gap between points on the graph, but when data points are a week apart, there would be a gap 7 times as large.
