No, it is not on the Apple Store. It has already been discontinued. Sorry.

You need to use the new Universal dock, though. It's somewhere on the support documents for the iPod.

no, i dont think there is. i work for comet (electrical store in the uk) and we got told about it, gotta clear out ALL the sound docks and stuff because the new ipods dont fit. tad annoying.

I ordered mine online at the "Apple Store" on September 29th. It was one of those good old orders that said "Ships by October 30th". However, today I checked and the status has changed to "Prepared for Shipment". It's been my experience that the item usually ships today or the next when the status changes to this ... so I think the new "Apple Universal Doc" is finally available and shipping!

I have two older Universal Docks (Model A1153) that work with my Touch including the remote. But video out does not work.

You seem to be correct. These are shipping now. I also ordered the apple universal dock as well as the composite a/v cable around the same time. My order status was the same 'Ships by: Oct 30', 'Delivers by: Nov 4'. I called today after seeing these accessories are now shipping within 24 hours. The rep changed my delivers by date to Nov 1. Big whoops. But, she did say to keep an eye on my status online as it may change again to an earlier date.

Yup, got shipping notification during the night ... as I suspected with things "hot off the press", from China.

Now it will be interesting to see if it travels the same route as my iPod touch ... today it will say it left Shanghai tomorrow ... tomorrow it will say it arrived in Anchorage yesterday, and when I go home it will be waiting at my front door. Ain't shipping from China grand!

Just to follow-thru with the thread ... other than Shanghai (it shipped via some other Chineese port) the rest was correct ... waiting at my doorstep when I got home today!

Hi there, newbie here both on the forum and ipods.

Bought my touch, GREAT!!!! have been out today and got the universal dock, 1st got the 'old version' which was packed with the video cables ect but had to return it as I got no video out, after seeing the info on this thread I swapped it for the new version.

BUT i still cant get video, any ideas what i'm doing wrong? do i HAVE to have apples own video/audio cable or can I use my own?

any advice would be great
