using my digital piano as USB midi device won't work

Hi all,

After solving my first problem with garageband, I'm stumped with a second one. I have a digital piano at home and want to use this as a midi input device. So I bought a Romi/o midi/usb converter and tried to hook it up to Garageband. I first tested it in the Audio midi setup (reconized and played a horrid chord on my piano) then I checked to see if Garageband could 'see it'. It did.
But for the life of me, I can't get it to register anything. I pick the grand piano from the instruments... and nothing. What gives? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers, Benoize

- Okay - so GB "sees it" meaning that the Midi Status in the prefs says "1 midi input detected"?

Yep!
- You have one Software track - Grand Piano - and it's record enabled (red dot)? When you play, nothing's recorded?

Yep!

- Can you insert notes with the mouse and they play?

Yes I can!

Thanks again for you help Christoph. Slowly but surely I must be arriving at a solution!

Hope to hear from you!

Cheers, Benoize
