DVD@ccess & Intellidisc - Someone please Help?

I know there are other threads about @ccess & Intellidisc but they don't seem to answer my simple question: How do you get Intellidisc to link to a PDF file on the DVD?

Maybe there isn't a simple answer or maybe I'm missing the blaring obvious...

I've been scratching my head for many hours trying to understand the principles of Intellidisc. Admittedly I know nothing of HTML, but according to the Intellidisc website, they claim the new user will have "Almost zero learning curve" ! Well Yes, my learning curve is zero... I still know nothing of how to use this program.

I remember a few months ago (before I had to use the program) their website had a step by step walk through on how to make a DVD with both Intellidisc links and @ccess links. But I can no longer find it...

All I want to do is add a PDF to my DVD and have a PC user (and Mac if possible!) navigate the menus, watch the videos and access the PDF via Acrobat.

I can do it with @ccess, but not with Intellidisc.

I've used eDVD a few times before but don't want to use it again.

Can someone please help? I'm going mad with confusion...

Hi Vince

DVD Playback ----------------------

The blended DVD MUST be played in the Netblender player otherwise the links will not be made. Other software players will play back the video, but they cant process the instructions to allow the blended DVD to work.

A Blended DVD will only play back (using the Netblender Player) will only work with Windows XP, it does not work with Vista.

The blended DVD disc should autoplay aafter inserting the disc, if it doesnt it means autoplay is turned off on the machine, in this case just double click the Netblender Icon in My Comuter window where the DVD drive is.

If another DVD player starts up, shut it down.

Yo asked about Adobe Reader; Reader must be installed on the users machine to view and navigate a PDF file. You could include the distributable version of Reader on the disc (free from Adobe.com)if any user does not have it, but its not necessary if its already installed.

If you still cant get this to work I suggest creating a small test project to get to know how things work:

Put a small PDF file plus something like a Powerpoint or Word file in the workspace folder and a short web link - www.Intellidisc.com
Create a simple DVD project in DVDSP with 2 menus 2 buttons and experiment and get the test project to work first.

The Blended DVD to be burned must contain the following:

Video_TS folder,
Audio_TS folder,
Blend_TS folder,
autorun.inf

Mac & VIsta----------------------------------

Intellidisc does not have a version that will create projects on the Mac, its Windows XP only, it does not work under Vista. Intellidisc plan to have a Vista version available in the future, it will be version created especially for Vista.

Netblender player does not playback on the Mac, it is Windows XP compatable only. You would unfortunatly have to also include DVD@Access for web links and other documents to work on the Mac.

Let me know if this helps
have a good new year

Gary
