iPod frozen with battery symbol

Question

iPod frozen with battery symbol

Hello all,

I plugged my mini in to charge it about 8 hours ago, just looked at it and it's frozen on the battery symbol (which isn't moving). What can I do to unfreeze it?

help! you seem to have been ablet o help this user, maybe you can save me too? My ipod was also frozen with battery symbol, now I just get the apple symbol. I've been unable to reset my ipod. any suggestions?

Try Resetting your iPod. Toggle the hold switch off and on a few times then hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display: iPod isn't responding it appears to be frozen

I reset it and the Apple logo came up, but then the exact same battery symbol came up, so it's frozen on the same screen again.

If you managed to reset it, then try resetting it again, and as soon as the Apple logo pops up, put it in Disk mode by holding down the Center and Play/Pause buttons. If it boots into this mode, see if the battery indicator shows charging. If it does, leave it like this for a while.

Mine just did the same thing today. I tried everything. Last resort is smashing it against a table a few times, and it worked. Good luck!
