Input/Output Error in Disk Utility
I've done this a lot before, using the same brand of DVD-R media (Sony) and the same DVD recorder (Samsung). After recording and finalizing the DVD, I insert the DVD in my Powerbook and open Disk Utility. Then choose the disc from the sidebar menu and choose File > New > Disk Image from disk1. Then save the disk image to the Desktop and choose CD/DVD master, no encryption. It starts to make the disk image and then close to the end of the process, I get this error message: unable to create "disk1.cdr" - input/output error
And there is no resulting disk image.
Any ideas about why this isn't working anymore?
I had to change the format of my Powerbook DVD player from NTSC to PAL to view a PAL disc. Then I changed it back to NTSC. And now I'm playing NTSC DVDs just fine with the player. I'm trying to copy an NTSC DVD. Did changing the region of my DVD player back and forth somehow break the create disk image capability?
