Is this possible? I've looked in the user manual before posting and I don't see anything about how to get the full resolution picture that the iPhone takes off the iPhone and onto your computer. When I email the picture from the iPhone is scales it down to email... *I'd really like to know if it's possible to get the full resolution picture from the iPhone to my computer.*
Was just going to start a thread on this and saw your post, Josh. Let me throw one more question in the mix, as the manual is certainly silent on this - can I transfer all of my photos at once, too?
When the iphone is connected to the computer, open my computer.
Go to the section, scanners and cameras and open apple iphone.
In here you will see all the photos taken with the iphone.
Here you can also, drag and drop or copy and paste to any location you want.
If you want it to transfer pictures automatically, right click on the apple iphone in my computer and choose properties.
Now click on the events tap, and there is a section for actions when a camera is connected.
I don't know about windows photo apps so much, but I DO know that for iPhoto at least, the images are automatically scaled down to about fit the iphone screen. That means that unless you try to somehow directly transfer data via the iPhone, you'll lose image resolution. For iPhoto, at least.
The pictures taken with the iPhone are not changed when imported into iPhoto. However, any photo synced from a folder or your iPhoto library will be optimized for display on the iPhone.
They will load into your Mac from iPhoto. I have my iPhone connected via the USB cable/dock and open iPhoto. My iPhone pictures display - ready to upload.
When I installed the iphone and software I selected 'microsoft office document scanning' or something like that when presented with a couple alternatives. But now everytime I plug in the iphone I get a message saying that "microsoft office document scanning doesn't support this device". I can't find where this is set so I can switch to whatever the other option was.
Also, I selected a directory for photo syncing within itunes.
there's an ipod photo cache directory with tons of subdirs but they're all empty.
my iphone has tons of pictures.
