After low battery my iPhone wont turn on!

Help me before I go crazy... please!

I had a busy day with my iPhone, then when i get home the battery was so low it would not turn on - it said to plug it in, I did and it still would not turn on, then it tried to but i guess did not have enough power and the screen went blank.

And now it wont do anything, i have had it charging overnight, pushed all the buttons every way and length possilbe, tried charging from socket and mac!

Does anyone have any light they can shed on this, anyone had the same problem before?

Thanks.

Any luck yet? Mine has done the same thing.
Last night I received the 20% battery life warning, but forgot to plug it in overnight. Then this morning NOTHING. I assumed a dead battery was the culprit, but after multiple hours of having it plugged in.....NOTHING.
Please, HELP!

I'm probably headed to the Apple store tomorrow. But if anyone has an idea I'd prefer to save the trip.

Rory,

Here are some steps you can take to see if you can get the iPhone to power on:

1. Connect the iPhone intoto the iPhone charger and let it charge for at least 10 minutes. (Make sure if you are connecting into your computer, that your computer is not in sleep mode or a power-saving mode while the iPhone is trying to charge.)

2. If that doesn't work, toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.

3. Try to reset the iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hope this helps,

Have you made sure that the USB cradle is securely plugged into your USB port on your Mac not the keyboard and the base is securely plugged into the USB cord? Have you tired a reset? Can you see the phone in iTunes? If you can you might try clicking on the restore button. To reset your phone hold the home button on the on on/off switch on top of the phone for maybe 5 seconds then try to power up again.
Just my two cents.

Hi,

Ive tried all of the the things you just suggested and still it does nothing. All the it wont get any power so restoring is not an option either, i have held down all the buttons; sleep wake & home, each one on their own and it does nothing.

It was not dropped, i have had no problems with the battery before - so i dont think it can suddenly break can it?

Ive had it charginf overnight as well and still nothing! Any more ideas?

Hey I have the same problem..went through all the steps and still blank screen and dead iphone. I recently had to re-install itunes because it wouldnt detect the iphone and sync. It worked fine after reinstalling the ugraded version of itunes...I did download the IPHONE update but did not apply yet.

These are the only things I can think of not mentioned in previous posts that might play a factor...hmm.

I went to bed and the phone had less then 10% battery left so I connected it to my pc without checking to see if it sync'd or not. Woke up in the morning to the black screen of death....a completely non-responsive Iphone.

Anyone that solves this one is a hero... I am techno-savy 🙂 but this is perplexing me. I worked an important event last night and entered some seriously important numbers into the phone that I DONT want to lose.

good luck to us
