Playing Indeo® video 5.10 in Mac OSX

Hello,

I have some old .avi files that won't play in OSX but they play perfectly in Windows 98/XP/Vista. They're encoded in Indeo® video 5.10. I can't find any sort of program that has the codec to play my videos. Quicktime, Flip4Mac, VLC, Windows Media Player for Mac OSX. I've been looking for a codec for OSX for a while now but can't find one. Anyone have a clue what will play Indeo® video 5.10?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 2.2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 2gb RAM Santa Rosa

None exist. Mac support was dropped with Mac OS "Classic" and never updated for OS X or universal binary platforms. This is a 15 year old proprietary codec last sold to the Ligos Corporation in 2000 which now only seems to market the Windows version 5.x for $14.95 a pop. According to Wikipedia, there are no "open source" implementations. Your best bet would likely be to convert to a Mac compatible format on your Windows machine.
